What I do
I am responsible for all technology and systems, including information, infrastructure, communications and strategic direction. I lead the IT team and together we support the IT needs of our staff.
What I like about my work
Building and maintaining systems which assist the end user experience, typically through new features, simplicity, streamlined workflow, and increased performance. I enjoy automation and any opportunity to implement new technology.
What I've done in the past
Prior to joining Anderson Lloyd in 2009, I worked for Gen-i as a Senior Systems Engineer, delivering IT infrastructure and remote access solutions using platforms such as Cisco, Citrix, VMware and Microsoft.
My approach to working with people
Realising that the firm is just a bunch of people with a common goal in mind. We can all help each other using our individual areas of expertise and hopefully have some fun along the way.
What I enjoy at work
Anderson Lloyd is a busy and exciting environment, bursting with fresh ideas and constant change. There are continually new projects to work through, new challenges to encounter and new solutions to construct.
What I enjoy outside of work
Spending time with my family, playing tennis, exploring beaches, feeding the ducks with the kids, playing musical instruments (drums, guitar, B3 organ, Fender Rhodes), cooking damper and marshmallows on the camp fire.
What I enjoy about living in the South Island
Crisp clean air, friendly people, less traffic (than Auckland), spectacular scenery, great lakes and dams. Ah the serenity!
