What I like about my work

I like the excitement of a new instruction.  I enjoy getting to grips with the facts and legal issues that are unique to each case and working with a talented team of people to find a solution.  I like advocating for my clients and the satisfaction of achieving the outcome that my clients want.

What I've done in the past

I came to Dunedin from Auckland via London.  I began my post-university life working for a law firm in South Auckland.  I spent my time in London (when not traipsing about Europe) working in the litigation departments of a number of top-tier law firms and government agencies.  I started at Anderson Lloyd in 2008.

My approach to working with my clients

I ensure that I understand from the start the outcome that my clients want.  I work with them to find the way that is best for them to achieve that outcome focusing on pragmatic resolution, not dispute.

What I enjoy at work

I like that the people I work with are energized by the work that we do and enthusiastic about doing the very best job for our clients.

What I enjoy outside of work

I enjoy a good book (although if truth be told, our Book Club meets more for the wine and cheese than the discussion), the theatre and cooking for friends.

What I enjoy about living in the South Island

I like the strong sense of community among people living here.  I enjoy exploring the beauty of the South Island.  I love the short commute to the office!
